Accessible Apps from Ninite
One of the best things about making something brand new like Ninite is seeing all the interesting things people do with it.
The other week we heard from a number of blind computer users thanking us for running Ninite. As much as verbose installers frustrate us with their pointless questions, they’re often far worse from an accessibility standpoint. Even great software makers tend to drop the ball when it comes to their installers.
While Ninite makes installing software much easier, one of our users, Doug Langley, had the great idea to make a special page for accessible apps. We even added the popular screenreader NVDA to our catalog to make things even simpler. The page includes just apps that work well with popular screenreaders and you can check it out at http://ninite.com/accessible. Let us know if we’re missing any standard Ninite apps that work.
Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for using Ninite!
