Ninite Turns One
We launched Ninite exactly one year ago: 22 October 2009. It has been a great year.
In that time we’ve added a boatload of new features to both Ninite and Ninite Pro. From download acceleration to automatic language selection and much more, there’s an enormous amount of technology behind Ninite’s easy-to-use facade. It’s the easiest, fastest, and best way to get software.
Our usage has been incredible too. We were surprised from the start at the heavy international demand for Ninite. Two-thirds of our users are from outside the US. The technical breadth of our users is wide also. It’s a unique challenge to design one product that’s loved by both Fortune 100 companies and grandmothers.
People have created over 4 million Ninite installers comprising over 26 million apps. And since you can run a Ninite installer again and again to update apps or set up multiple PCs we’ve installed more apps than that. We’re installing over 100,000 apps daily and growing.
We’ve also recently crossed into profitability so you can count on seeing more of these anniversary updates.
